Eagle's Syndrome
Connective tissue issues are our specialty! Physical therapy is key to managing Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Marfan’s Syndrome, and joint hypermobility (double jointed). We are often the first healthcare professional to identify the characteristics of a connective tissue disorder and will provide the support and referrals to get a proper diagnosis.
When these conditions are properly diagnosed, targeted treatment can begin to make a positive difference in your life and health. Treatment options may include manual lymph drainage, muscle activation techniques, patient education, joint subluxation education, exercise, and referral and care management to specialists as needed to best alleviate and manage your symptoms.
We have found that Eagle’s Syndrome, Chiari, tethered cord, craniocervical instability, intracranial hypertension, intracranial hypotension due to cerebrospinal fluid leaks and orthopedic problems are often related to connective tissue disorders. We have unique clinical differential diagnosis skills necessary to differentiate between many of these disorders and can help refer you to the appropriate specialists, order radiologic imaging (x-rays, MRI, EMG, etc.), and manage your care.
